[ mood | hopeful ]

Michigan Tech Students, Randy did not arrange for storageor transportation of his futon and may have to get rid of it. If anyone coming home for the summer has extra room and could take it with them back to the Marquette County area, we could pick it up from your home or meet you somewhere to do so. If you are storing anything at Tech (i don't know how the storage units work there, so this may not work) and have extra room, that would also work. He has a small car and it is not within any of our budgets to go out there to pick his futon up this week.

Please comment if you can help at all. He lives in DHH and will probably be there for the rest of this week.

I called a friend of mine up there to see if he can store it. I'll hear back on that within the next couple days and will let you all know if the problem has been solved.

I appreciate it guys.

Thanx :o)

[ mood | accomplished ]

My third show of the summer, and the second one worth watching: Godspell!
Godspell is a musical based on the gospel of Matthew and contains everything from comedy to tragedy. It takes place a few years in the future during the second coming of Christ.
People from Gwinn who are involved with the show are me (Emily Strazzinski), Lance Larson, Molly Mitchell, Dale Weingartner, Ethan Andy Debelak, Kathy Strazzinski, and Keith Maki.
The show dates are August 5 (yesterday) through August 7 and August 11-14. All shows are at 7:30 at the Vista Theatre in Negaunee. Tickets are $6 for high schoolers and younger and $9 for adults. There is a heck of a lot of talent in this show-You should really come see it!!!!!! :-D

Extra Performance! [01 Aug 2004|12:56am]

[ mood | content ]

Hey guys! I believe the last time I posted was publicizing Lake Superior Theatre's You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Well the ticket sales have been SO good (because the show is awesome!) that they added an extra performance. At 2:00 today, you can get in to see the show for $6.25 (or somewhere around $3 for children under 12.) I haven't talked to one person who hasn't liked it... You should really try to get out to see it! Let me know if you need anymore details, and I really hope to see you there!!!!!!!

Commercialized! [23 Jul 2004|11:42pm]

[ mood | excited ]

Is the somewhat dull nightlife of Marquette County getting you down? Well, there's an AWESOME show playing out at Lake Superior Theatre right now. It's You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, directed by our very own Mr. Dagenais. The show is absolutely amazing. The cast is one heap of talent, and I haven't talked to one person who hasn't liked the show yet. People you may know from Gwinn who are involved with the show are Dave Dagenais, Thomas Kownacki, Anthony Baez, Cameron Mahoney, Emily Bianchi, Sherry Bollero, and me (Emily Strazzinski.) Here's the info.

When: July 21-25 and July 28-August 1, 7:30 PM
Where: Lake Superior Theatre (next to the Lower Harbor park in Marquette)
Cost: $12.50 (Expensive, I know, but it is WELL worth it.)
Cast: Brian Elliot as Charlie Brown
Brian Dettmann as Schroeder
Michelle Dunphy as Sally Brown
Chelsea Rogers as Lucy Van Pelt
Tony Pruett as Snoopy
Ian DeBacker as Linus

Let me know if you have any other questions. I really hope to see you there!

There has been a report of wild Tylers jumping in the road at unexpected times. Please be very aware while driving. The Tyler is a pretty large and hairy being and hard to dodge if in the way of traffic. It may also be known as Ty-Dawg, STD, or Killer Tiller.

This Public Safety Announcement has been brought to you by the Gwinn Drive-in. Please drive safely and have a nice day.

There's going to be a travelling high school musical/drama group performing at Ishpeming High School tonight and tomorrow night at 7. The musical is called "Dead Serious About Life" and it's about a high school party and what kind of issues the individual kids are dealing with. I saw a preview of it a few weeks ago and it looks like it'll be really good. You should all come check it out. Tickets are $8 at the door, but it's gonna be worth it.

I'm sure you already know this, but talk it up!

The Gwinn High School Drama Club presents..

Little Shop of Horrors

March 25-27 at 7:00 PM in the Gwinn High School Cafetorium, and Sunday March 28 at 2:00 PM

Tickets are $4 students and seniors, $6 general public
(I'm pretty sure about that, correct me if I'm wrong)

Set in the 1950's, a down-on-his-luck orphan florist for Skid Row Florists, Seymour Krelbourne (Mike Shimon), in the ever-ghetto Skid Row suddenly stumbles across what seems to be good fortune, a carnivorous plant that can bring him anything he wants (voice of Justin Dupras), specifically his co-worker Audrey (Sherry Bollero). The storyline follows Audrey and Seymour to fame and back, dealing with Audrey's no-good boyfriend, a sadistic dentist (Cameron Mahoney), falling in love, and trying to escape the pressure of their boss, Mr. Mushnik (Duncan Ryan-Ross), the owner of the shop. The tale is brought to life by three know-it-all urchins (Laura Lea Floars, Jess Herndon, Emily Strazzinski) who always know just what's going down and always seem to have the "I know something you don't know" attitude. You'll fall in love with the cast as you're brought through a roller coaster of ups, downs, twists, and turns on the magical ride through their Little Shop of Horrors.

Hope to see you there!

Dance At NMU [06 Oct 2003|09:16pm]

[ mood | lethargic ]

Attention everyone interested in any kind of dance at all!!

If you're interested in bringing a dance program to NMU so they have a dance minor, please see me! I have a petition about it... My friend Michelle's working her butt off trying to get this to work, and I'd like to help as much as possible! High school signatures are the ones that are going to count-- not the ones of people who are already at NMU. So please... if you're interested at ALL-- it doesn't matter if you're not planning on going to NMU-- confront me!! Thanks.

is 'unforeseeable' a word?

i always assumed it was, until recently when i was looking for it in dictionaries... in my dictionary, it's not listed, and on aol's, it's not there... does anybody have a dictionary larger than mine, therefore having more words, with one of those words possibly being 'unforeseeable?'
